Surah Al-Ikhlas is one of the short Surahs of the Holy Quran.\u00a0Its number of verses is only 4 .<\/span><\/p>

\u201cHe is Allah\u2014One \u02f9and Indivisible\u02fa;<\/em><\/span><\/div>
Allah\u2014the Sustainer \u02f9needed by all\u02fa.<\/em><\/span><\/div>
He has never had offspring, nor was He born.<\/em><\/span><\/div>
And there is none comparable to Him.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/div>

Surah Al-Ikhlas surah has a wonderful balance and symmetry!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

We will see how this balance is maintained in Surah Al Ikhlas\u2014<\/span><\/p>

  • It has 15 Arabic words.\u00a07 words at the beginning, 7 words at the end, a word in the middle– balance!<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    \"Balance<\/p>

    • Again, the number of letters in the first 7 words is 22<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      The number of letters in the last 7 words is 22! –Balance again!<\/span><\/p>

      \"Balance,<\/p>

      \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      • The middle word has three letters. The middle letter is ‘lam’ \u0644.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        \u00a0\u0644 is the 23rd letter of the Arabic alphabet<\/span>
        <\/span><\/p>

        \"Balance,<\/p>

        • And there are exactly 23 letters before and after the letter ‘lam’ \u0644!\u00a0That is, balance!<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

          \"Balance<\/p>

          • There is another balance!\u00a0 At the end of the first verse, there is the word ‘Ahad’ and at the end of the last verse there is also the word ‘Ahad’.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

            The word ‘Ahad’ means the oneness of God.<\/span>

            In the middle of the surah, there are words about giving birth. Giving birth is actually a human characteristic. That means the two sides of the surah are the attributes of God and the middle is the attributes of humans.<\/span><\/p>

            As we saw the middle letter of Surah is ‘Lam’ (<\/span>\u0644<\/span>)which is the 23rd letter of the Arabic alphabet, and there are exactly 23 letters before and after the ‘Lam’ (<\/span>\u0644<\/span>), So, the question is why there are 23 in the middle. The importance of the number 23 is that the number of human chromosomes is 23 pairs, and the middle of the surah deals with the human characteristics of giving birth.<\/span><\/p>
